Offa Royal College is a centre for academic excellence, personal growth and character development, the secondary chapter of the Queen Jolade Schools family.
Offa Royal College is built on three principles, written into the school crest, taught in the classroom, and lived in every corridor. They are the measure by which we educate, and by which we ask our students to live.
A foundation of belonging.
A college where every student feels physically secure, emotionally protected, and free to learn without fear. Pastoral care, anti-bullying education, and a culture in which raising a concern is welcomed rather than punished.
A community of character.
Respect woven through how teachers speak to students, how students speak to each other, and how the college engages with the wider Offa community. Kindness here is not weakness; it is the discipline of consideration.
A standard of excellence.
Rigorous academics across the JSS and SSS curriculum, with experienced faculty who know that real intelligence is more than examinations: it is curiosity, judgement, and the courage to think for oneself.
Offa Royal College was born in 2020, alongside the established Queen Jolade Preparatory and Primary School, in answer to a clear demand: a complete educational journey, from nursery through to senior secondary, taught with the same care, the same standard, and the same belief in young people.
We are a dynamic and inclusive learning community. A centre of academic excellence, personal growth and character development, providing a comprehensive education that goes beyond textbooks and classrooms.
What our pupils begin at Queen Jolade, they complete here.
Born 1927 in Offa to the Anlelerin Royal Family. Educated at Ibadan Grammar School and Washington State University. PhD in Geology from the University of Durham, 1959.
The first African Professor of Geology. Founder of the Geological Society of Africa. Chairman of the West African Examinations Council. Chairman of Guaranty Trust Bank. Founding Chairman of Kwara State College of Technology.
His vision shaped Queen Jolade Schools at the start, and shapes Offa Royal College still: a single conviction that true education ignites a flame.
Offa Royal College follows the Nigerian secondary curriculum across both Junior and Senior phases, taught with rigour, depth, and a clear path forward. Whether your child is moving up from Queen Jolade or joining us afresh, the foundation is built to carry them into university and beyond.
